GETTING HERE
Driving southbound through the village of Wylam and take the last left before the bridge over the River Tyne onto Stephensons Terrace (from the A69). Or, driving northbound take the first right after the bridge onto Stephensons Terrace (from the A695).
Follow Stephensons Terrace (it curves round to the left at the end of the Terrace) round to the end and you should see Stephensons Arms with the white fence in front of you. Follow the road to the right, down the lane and you should see the enterance to your left.

THERE IS NO ACCESS FROM FALCON TERRACE. PLEASE DO NOT TURN DOWN NEXT TO THE FOX AND HOUND PUB.

THERE IS NO LONGER ACCESS TO THE SITE BY THE SIDE OF THE STEPHENSONS ARMS HOUSE. YOU WILL NEED TO FOLLOW THE TRACK.
STEP-BY-STEP DIRECTIONS.
IF COMING FROM THE NORTH/A69.

Travel through the village of Wylam heading towards the station. Then, before you get onto the bridge, take the last left onto Stephensons Terrace and then turn immediatly right to follow Stephensons Terrace around to the river.
IF COMING FROM THE SOUTH/A695.
​
Travel past the station, over the bridge heading towards the village centre. Then, after you get off the bridge take the first right onto Stephensons Terrace and then turn immediatly right to follow Stephensons Terrace around to the river.

Once on Stephensons Terrace, follow it all the way to the end.

Once you get to where Stephensons Terrace ends follow the road round to the left to drive along the side of the last house on Stephensons Terrace.

DO NOT DRIVE STRIGHT ON ALONG THE RIVER. If you do then you'll end up at Tom & Joes Nursery and it will be very difficult for you to turn round.
​
Once you follow the road left at the end of Stephensons Terrace, you should see the road going towards Stephensons Arms house. Follow the road towards the house crossing the Coast to Coast cycle route as you do.
​
PLEASE BE CAREFUL AT THIS POINT as you'll cross the Coast to Coast cycle route and it can get quite busy with cyclists and walkers.
​
When you are outside the Stephensons Arms house, you should see that the road continue to the right towards Bythorne Farm. Follow this road to the right.
​
THERE IS NO ACCESS TO THE SITE FROM THE STEPHENSONS ARMS HOUSE. Unlike when we first opened, the house is now seperate from the site. Please do not drive down the side of it.

Follow the road round down towards Bythorne Farm.
​

After about 100 metres, the road opens up to the left. Turn left at this point.
​
